Please feel free to point out any mistakes I may have made! This vid is a truly beautiful piece of work, it reminds us of what we should never forget, and at the same time, what we should never allow to get in the way of our present - that is precisely what I love most about Hetalia. Well, 'side from the super hot guys, of course. (Vanyaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Why you so cute it should be illegal to be so cute like seriously you're giving me a heart attack like omg I'm gonna shut up now.)
This was really awesome and helpful! Most of this I knew, but some stuff just slipped past me! Like the Berlin Blockade, I was looking for it and some how just totally missed it haha! Thank you for your work at putting this timeline together!
I cannot thank you enough for this comment, I'm not exaggerating when I say that I learned more about history from both your comment and this video then I ever have. I agree, this video really is such a beautiful piece of work. You put it so perfectly ^^ About how we should never forget yet not let it get in the way of the present, one of my favorite morals about Hetalia. Take Germany for example, I grew up hearing nothing but negative things about them due to the Nazis. On top of that, me living in the US I'd hear bad remarks about Russia as well. But things really are very different today, I'm glad I know that now :) Again, fantastic list of the history in this video, thank you
Lunar Blossom Aww, thank you for the kind words! It made all the research totally worth it :') Hetalia really knows how to cure prejudice with laughter, doesn't it? If there's one thing the characters taught me, it's that deep down we've all got something in common - regardless of where we come from or what we believe. Because of my country's history, I've always loathed the Chinese with a passion. I can't say that I like them now exactly, but I've learnt to think outside my box just a bit more, and even grow to adore China's character; that's something I couldn't have even imagined doing before Hetalia. It's so nice that somebody feels the same way I do! ^^
AnIc3ySw33tn3ss Of course, I meant every word ^^ I can't thank you enough for all your research, and you're absolutely right, I remember when I heard about Hetalia for the first time and I was skeptical. From what I heard the show was about I was worried it would divide people even more. Not long into episode one I realized it was very much the opposite, it has everyone laughing even at themselves. The show really helps prove how bs stereotypes are, and that they are really only meant to be laughed at and not taken seriously. I'm curious, what country are you from? I think I can understand where such strong negativity might come from when looking at their past and things that still unfortunately plague them, due to communism I was taught to be wary of them. I realize now that things change rapidly in this world, and like you said I try to look at the big picture. Even if I might dislike or be afraid of a country's government, I keep in mind that it's just not possible for every single person in a single nation to be bad or fit that country's stereotype. Everyone is an individual and although they can be influenced by where they live, most of the time it doesn't come close to defining them. I'm glad though that Hetalia has helped you so much, especially with China, I adore hearing stories like that! I was always very interested in other cultures, but now that interest has probably tripled. There is not one character in Hetalia that I dislike, and that alone is a huge accomplishment for this show. Especially with Germany, despite the bad stigma I've been taught to give them I now see them for what they are in modern day; which is a very interesting nation with a lot of great people, and he's personally my favorite character :)
I love this not just because America and Russia are super hot in this, but the history in it as well. It covers the Cold war nigh on perfectly and really gives you a feeling for it and the time. This is seriously one of the best fan made videos I've ever seen, both in video quality and historical accuracy
This... Is possibly.. Actually, very likely the best MMD video I've ever seen... Gosh, there are so many historical references, the feelings are portrayed so PERFECTLY. The animation is AMAZING. THIS IS WHAT HETALIA IS ABOUT.
Both in Hetalia and Real Life: Russia and America Best Freinds/ Enemies... Let's just call the Two countries "Rivals" In the words of the Narrator Lady in the Anime "And so the most terrifying friendship was born"
I am soooo turned on by the sheer amazingness of this video. Best MMD I've ever seen! The little gestures that aren't usually there, the time of WWII and the Cold War, the various nations fighting, the attire, the expressions, and the last scene of all the nations as we normally see them... TOTALLY EPICLY AWESOME!! You've set the bar soo freaking high on MMDs that it was, aw! I can't stop freaking over it, I can't believe I put off watching it! :DD
I LOVE THE AMOUNT OF REFERENCES IN THIS 1. World War II, when it was Allies VS Axis, Germany fighting most of it, I noticed that France wasn't sitting with the rest of this Allies, since he was occupied, nice detail! 2. Cold War, that was pretty much the whole video, with the different crisis: -When America, England, France shared Germany with Russia, before it became the DDR (eastern Germany) and the BRD (western Germany) (YEAH I DONT KNOW THE NAMES IN ENGLISH OK I USED THE GERMAN ONES) -Then the West Block "VS" the East Block, with all the communist countries behind Russia and the others behind America -Then the "Rush to Space", when both Russia and America began projects to go to space (and Russia who sent Spoutnik, first human satellite, and later Gagarin first human ever in space, is that right?) (plus America raging over that LAL) -The "Berliner Mauer", the wall of Berlin, built by the Soviet Union in 1961 (also built in Germany to separate the east and the west) -The "missile crisis", aka the Cuba crisis (russian missiles being brought to Cuba by russian boats, in order to be aiming at America) and the american missiles in Turkey, aiming at Russia -1969: first man walking on the Moon, by America -Then Russia "gives up": change of leader, who wanted to spare what was left of the Soviet Union -1989: Fall of the Berliner Mauer, both eastern and western Germany are reunified (I like how Prussia represents eastern Germany, I think that it fits him somehow) Then the world isn't bipolar anymore ;D It really shows, through real and historical facts, how much America and Russia have been chalenging each other, and thats quite cool! :D GGWP WHOEVER DID THIS
Wow... I haven't seen a mmd in ages, let alone a decent one. I was not really paying attention to the song, but both the graphics and historical situations are stunning. Amazing video! :)
Wow so much thought and Historical accuracy put into this!!! 1:40NATO members and Warsaw pact fly by. Sputnik and the moon landing to spite Russia. The Suez crisis and Cuban Missile crisis at 2:45. I am jumping out of my skin on this!

Best Hetalia MMD EVER! I love how the video relates to the historic events.
After all these years this is still my favorite MMD video to date
This... Is possibly.. Actually, very likely the best MMD video I've ever seen... Gosh, there are so many historical references, the feelings are portrayed so PERFECTLY. The animation is AMAZING. THIS IS WHAT HETALIA IS ABOUT.
you ever come back to watch this masterpiece just like ah yes this is really what the internet is meant to be :)
Please watch it after learning Japanese.
1:53 "Please, shut up."
This part of Japanese is the best!
One of the best WWII to Cold War vids I've seen out of the fandom yet!

Both in Hetalia and Real Life: Russia and America Best Freinds/ Enemies... Let's just call the Two countries "Rivals"
In the words of the Narrator Lady in the Anime "And so the most terrifying friendship was born"
This is one of the best mmd videos I’ve seen and I mean it.
THIS IS JUST AMAZING! Glad to find that there's a HD version!
:DD
I LOVE THE AMOUNT OF REFERENCES IN THIS
1. World War II, when it was Allies VS Axis, Germany fighting most of it, I noticed that France wasn't sitting with the rest of this Allies, since he was occupied, nice detail!
2. Cold War, that was pretty much the whole video, with the different crisis:
-When America, England, France shared Germany with Russia, before it became the DDR (eastern Germany) and the BRD (western Germany) (YEAH I DONT KNOW THE NAMES IN ENGLISH OK I USED THE GERMAN ONES)
-Then the West Block "VS" the East Block, with all the communist countries behind Russia and the others behind America
-Then the "Rush to Space", when both Russia and America began projects to go to space (and Russia who sent Spoutnik, first human satellite, and later Gagarin first human ever in space, is that right?) (plus America raging over that LAL)
-The "Berliner Mauer", the wall of Berlin, built by the Soviet Union in 1961 (also built in Germany to separate the east and the west)
-The "missile crisis", aka the Cuba crisis (russian missiles being brought to Cuba by russian boats, in order to be aiming at America) and the american missiles in Turkey, aiming at Russia
-1969: first man walking on the Moon, by America
-Then Russia "gives up": change of leader, who wanted to spare what was left of the Soviet Union
-1989: Fall of the Berliner Mauer, both eastern and western Germany are reunified (I like how Prussia represents eastern Germany, I think that it fits him somehow)
Then the world isn't bipolar anymore ;D
It really shows, through real and historical facts, how much America and Russia have been chalenging each other, and thats quite cool! :D GGWP WHOEVER DID THIS
!!!!!!
This is amazing! I love it, good job!!

I have the feeling to be slapped by the feels right there
The one who made this mmd put a lot of effort
Help, I've fallen to another hyperfixation of this video again.
Seriously though, one of, if not THEE best Hetalia mmd.
Wow... I haven't seen a mmd in ages, let alone a decent one. I was not really paying attention to the song, but both the graphics and historical situations are stunning.
Amazing video! :)

this is by far the best MMD i've ever watch you Sir or ma'am have talent
I love Russia's design!
Wow so much thought and Historical accuracy put into this!!! 1:40NATO members and Warsaw pact fly by. Sputnik and the moon landing to spite Russia. The Suez crisis and Cuban Missile crisis at 2:45. I am jumping out of my skin on this!
THIS IS AMAZING. No words can express how good this video is.
The history of the 1900s... with a vocaloid song. *_YES_*
-Just going to ignore the fact that this song is about sex and keep listening-
Do you know what song?
I would like to look up the lyrics. ^w^
Excuse me I'm everywhere what do you expect. XD
